Linocut is a very satisfying printing method which can be very easily done and learned by everybody. As a young student I first got in touch with linocut and loved it from the first second.
After so many years I rediscovered my love for this printing technique and combined it with my other love of making paper goods.
This is how this little series of notebooks came along. Each one different and one of a kind - not one is 100% identical to the other, as I made the lino stamps all by myself and made patterns with it to produce covers for my notebooks I afterwards created with them.
I loved playing with different colour combinations and genres, from floral to geometrical patterns to ageless designs. I even integrated printing with rubberband, gold colours etc to make some unique, one-of-a-kind designs.
It was great fun playing around, not focusing on the end result but only on the process. As that is what art is all about, to express yourself and find yourself in the making.
